Developing an optimal website development strategy

We want our solutions to measurably support our clients. We understand that design and technology are business functions (not vice versa), which is why we trust real data more (even if it is inconvenient) than pure intuition. There is nothing worse than investing in projects based on bad assumptions, which is why we have tools up our sleeve that help develop strategies necessary to build a working solution. The result of this process is an extensive e-book with a strategic plan of the structure and functioning of a given website (which can be implemented with us or with an external contractor).

  • Design workshop
    • Individually tailored workshop at the customer's headquarters (throughout Poland), where we jointly define the purpose of the site, the value proposition of the product or service it offers, we generate various solutions and create the overall customer flow path (Customer Journey Map)
  • Expert audit
    • Analysis of the current page in the form of a report based on 10 Nielsen heuristics, web trends, SEO context, usability, accessibility etc. which aims to identify the elements that are worth continuing and the ones that are better to change. In addition, a comparative analysis of solutions offered by the competition is performed.
  • Desk Research
    • Analysis of the current page in the form of a report based on 10 Nielsen heuristics, web trends, SEO context, usability, accessibility etc. which aims to identify the elements that are worth continuing and the ones that are better to change. In addition, a comparative analysis of solutions offered by the competition is performed.
  • Quantitative research
    • We work on collected statistical data from Google Analitycs and HotJar (the so-called Heat Maps). This allows us to identify patterns of user behaviour on the site and is a reference point for solutions generated during the design workshop and expert audit. We present the conclusions of the quantitative research during the design workshop or as part of the Report.
  • Qualitative research
    • We work on collecting valuable data that not only allow us to design solutions tailored to the client, but also help validate all assumptions and ideas that were initiated at the stage of design workshop and expert audit in the client’s real environment. The results of qualitative research, apart from verifying the assumptions of the design strategy, also give great business worth to the client.

      Knowledge gathered during tests or interviews can also be used in other areas (such as sales, structure of offers, new products, etc.) of the company's opeartions.

      Qualitative research can be carried out in at least two ways:
      • in the form of in-depth interviews (the duration of one interview is about 1 hour / face to face or by phone / interview based on a script with at least 5 people)
      • in the form of online tests (test duration about 2 min / min. Several dozen people)
  • Proto-personas / Personas
    • Proto-persona is a persona whose concept / image we develop together with the client based on his subjective experience and later serves as a hypothesis. In contrast, the persona is based on the results of quantitative and qualitative research.

Conducting strategic analysis includes a holistic approach to the problem, gathering the necessary information and based on all of this proposing a course of action along with the development of the initial map, site structure and its logic. This stage is the basis for the next design processes, i.e. developing a new website design and programming the frontend / backend.
